Hesketh Golf Club
Few golf clubs have led such a nomadic existence as the Hesketh in its formative years. It begun life as the Southport Golf Club founded on the 3rd January 1885 and is still, in some texts, referred to as the Southport (Hesketh) Golf Club.
Hesketh is now a regular final qualifying course for the Royal Birkdale open and is the only championship golf club to regularly support Handigolf.
