Municipal Golf Links
Southports Municipal links, known to most (affectionately) as the "Muni" has been a boon for the many golfers unable or unwilling to join a private golf club and for the many would-be golfers who first learnt to play the game on it.
It provides a very good test of links golf with full exposure to the prevailing offshore south west winds. It is a pay-as-you-play golf course as well as hosting three resident golf clubs (Park, Southport Ladies and the Alt).
It is managed and maintained by Sefton Council and provides outstanding value-for-money golf.
Lessons are available from the resident golf professional along with club and trolley hire. Refreshments are available at the on-course cafe. All standards of golfers are welcome.
