Ormskirk Golf Club
This is a members club. The member`s own the land and the member`s interests come first and last. It`s a superb parkland course where you can get away from it all and enjoy a testing challenge of golf in the most rural of settings.
It isn`t always as peaceful as it is now - disturbed only by the sound of the ball being hit and by shouts of "for."
The land on which the course is laid out was the scene of some fierce fighting during the Civil War when nearby Lathom house was under siege. The club celebrates its Centenary in 1999.
This will be marked by a history of the club being produced, which will perhaps reveal a history of the area, as well as recording the contribution to country golf which the members of Ormskirk have made over the years.
